The company of dances folclóricas Jipijapa, of Zapatoca, in General category, and the School of Artistic Formation of Charalá, in Infantile, was the splendid winners of the VI Competition of Dances Folclóricas of the Andean Region.
The company Jipijapa, directed by Luis Oswaldo Serrano, shone in a very special way with its dance of the corridor Hurricane and the rumba Creole Mischiefs, of the teacher Jorge Veloza.
The School Charaleña Aryan Geani directs it Moreno.
The one SAW Competition of Dances Andean Folclóricas it organizes it every year the Ballet Suaty, of the Unisangil.
According to the directress, Ligia García of Castro, the most important thing that makes this contest is to promote the dances and other cultural expressions, as the music, because these they are the best complement for the tourism that grows every day in the county of Guanentá and the south of Santander.
The Group Suaty and the Unisangil will work starting from 2007 in popularizing the Andean dances in the schools, Ligia informed García.
The second place of the General category took it to him the Company Lenga, of Bucaramanga, directed by León Chaparro, and that brought as novelty the rumba The Charming Rooster, a song of the Group Class Carranguera that mounted with a great success.
The third position was for the grouping Folclor Encinero, directed by Lensky Aryan Héberh; the fourth place was for the cultural group Guayacán, of The Santos, directed by Raúl Díaz; while the fifth place conquered it the Group of Dances of Guapotá, with Henry's baton Albeiro Prada.
The examining jury integrated it the artists Margoth Velásquez Angélica, Orlando Olaya Santos and the actor Felipe Solano.
